Koki`o `ula  Hibiscus kokio ssp. kokio 

Family:  Malvaceae

Description:  This member of the Hibiscus family has a red flower. Depending on where in the state wild material for propagation originally came from, this Hibiscus can vary. Kokio `ula takes well to pruning. Moderate watering and full sun and this plant will thrive in mesic conditions. We grow this plant from cuttings of specimens already in cultivation.
