Kukui Nut Tree

Kukui Nut Trees or Candlenut Trees are a Polynesian introduced tree
which has escaped cultivation and can be seen in many of Hawaii's stream
corridors up to 2000 feet elevation. This large tree is fast
growing and provides good shade. Does well in full sun or shade
and likes its feet wet. There are a few different varieties with
difference in leaf shape and mature size. Kukui nut trees are the
State Tree of Hawaii and can be seen in many landscapes.
