Description: This plant is in the Nettle
family and the fresh or dried leaves may be used in teas as a healthful
tonic. The red venation set against the green leaves make this plant
attractive as a mass planting or specimen plant. This plant will grow to
be a small tree, so allow for up to a 15 foot spread and 20 foot height.
Mamaki must have its feet wet and will do fine in partial shade or full
sun. We grow this plant from seed.
