Nanu   Gardenia brighamii

Family:  Rubiaceae

Description:  This species of gardenia is one of three gardenia species native to the Hawaiian islands. This species is endangered and rare in the wild. The flower is white and extremely fragrant as are most gardenias. This shrub thrives in the full sun and will grow to about 15 feet tall with a 6 foot spread. Relatively slow growing when young, once established this plant will surprise you.
