Yuzu is a specialty citrus originating from Tibet and Central China. The small orange colored fruit resembles a mandarin but has a uniquely tart and acidic flavor. Rarely eaten whole, this citrus is used as a juice or zest in East Asian cuisine and is central to flavoring many dishes. Trees are vigorous, extremely cold hardy, and possess long thorns.
